Judith Joyce, both a paranormal investigator and psychic medium, presents a balanced and detailed compendium of information and authenticated cases of everything that falls under the umbrella of the paranormal. This includes not only ghosts, telepathy, telekinesis, spiritualism, parapsychology, mediumship, the Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP), phone calls from the dead (considered just another form of EVP), and the Near-Death Experience, but also chupacabras, Men In Black, crop circles, alien abductions, the yeti, and a large variety of other “paranormal” manifestations that are generally explored and considered separately by most authors, but in this reviewer’s opinion should indeed be brought together. I feel that it is to this author’s credit that she tackled the full spectrum of paranormal phenomena rather than selectively focusing on just isolated aspects that fit strictly within the popular psychic and spiritual perceptions of such subject matter.

Sprinkled with photos and illustrations too, this book is a virtual easy to read encyclopedia of sorts for its readers, a wonderful introduction for beginners, and a handy reference book for the old-timers in the field as well.

The author, Imre Vallyon, is a spiritual teacher who expounds upon the core elements of spiritual truth, wisdom and understanding embodied in all religions, rather than coming at you from just a single religious orientation, although there are certainly a lot of terms and ideas in this book that originate from eastern spirituality, like mantras, cakras (most spell it chakras), guru, Hatha Yoga, Atman, Avatara, Bodhisattva, Dharma, etc. The author also provides the reader with a variety of meditation techniques to help elevate ones consciousness to higher levels of awareness.
